A duo of John Calarco and Jim Bartz building a futuristic new way to make music. Bartz is very proud to be working with Calarco. He's an exceptionally talented musical artist having worked with Blue Man Group and Daryl Stuermer (Genesis/Phil Collins) Calarco is playing a strange array drum kit and singing his heart out, while Bartz is performing on his custom 40-string StringStation. Each show incorporates new material with all instruments and sounds played live by them on stage. |
Blasting Off Into Something Unprecedented And Sublime
Seeing the StringStation is an awesome and unique World Class music event- right in our own backyard. Perhaps not since Les Paul was pulling wires and flipping switches right here in the Milwaukee area some 60 years ago has something this innovative been caught brewing up here in Cream City. We've been waiting a long time for this kind of future thought, maybe since before the first inhabitants of this lonely planet were banging sticks and rocks together to make music. To see the StringStation at rest is just a sharp pointer towards things to come, the chrome and glints from the tuning pegs and strings making you think of a fancy Italian sports car; it's at rest, but this thing was built to go fast. To actually see it in action, Bartz waving his hands over it like a crazed magician while solid colored sounds seem to come at you from all direction; now that's the stuff all right! But don't believe everything you read. You can discover the truth for yourself with a short ride to wherever StringStation is playing in the Wisconsin area. Don't miss this opportunity to witness a truly groundbreaking music event. Jason Saperstein/Vital |
