...and for those of you who've

((( 4 / requested )))

I had this album very early on ands always thought it to be exotic and freaky.

Dont be fooled by radio, TV or the magazines

They show you photographs of how your life should be

but they're just someone else's fantasy

I liked this when I was younger ...got it for Christmas, but after relistening to it recently, I found that I kind of grew out of it. Actually the idea of a Rainbow Demon makes me chuckle. But here we have another Roger Dean cover which is cool and cool to 3D. It was because of the Roger Dean album covers of this and 'The Magicians Birthday' that I first checked into Uriah Heep along with the song Stealin' which got frequent radio play on the coolest FM station in Milwaukee at the time WZMF.

This album is fairly lame and for die-hard fans only ..Some bad mixing and choices of performances. Although I do enjoy Gates Of Delirium as it was recorded in Detroit the day after I saw YES do it in Milwaukee. But Roger Dean did a beautiful cover and this album is here in the gallery for that reason alone. That's my old apartment building that I used to live in in the lower right.

... this image turned out Great! Roger Dean is a blast to 3D

Not a fave album but Order of the Universe and Let's Pretend are the only songs here that have any flavor of YES to my ears.

This is a friend Victor DeLorenzo who is a founding member and drummer of the Violent Femmes. A very strange band from Milwaukee (progressive in their own right). We work together once in awhile at his recording studio JoES in Milwaukee. This CD (his 2nd solo) is a total psychedelic kinda sixties but way Nineties freak out that is completely entertaining and sophistacool! It even has Herb Alpert playing on it! His new CD is just out 'The Blessed Faustina' and has me warping some guitar sounds on 2 of its songs 'Baby Jesus' and 'It's a Beautiful Machine' Daryl Steurmer and Marshall Crenshaw are also on it. It's an awesome and a very engaging album!
